He will use the mask to get people vaccinated and keep blaming it on that. I'd be very shocked (but happy) if he lifts the mask mandate today.

The entirety of LDH Region 1, which includes St. Bernard, Orleans, Jefferson, and Plaquemines parishes, has 41 people in the hospital due to COVID, and 8 on ventilators
If it's not safe to ease restrictions now, then she might as well say that nothing will change until there are 0 cases and 0 people in the hospital, because that's about the only benchmark left to hit

Still it was politically humiliating...again followed by being embarrassed in an election. On the one hand I could see him lining up with his party...on the other I could see him continuing to just keep his head down and run out the clock
