His ways our not our ways. Man had a chance to live a life free from sin and death...but chose otherwise

He fixed that broken, severed relationship. But much like the hurts we cause ourselves in our relationships with people, the consequences cannot always be undone.

So he didn't fix it?

Many of the atrocities seen in this world have nothing to do with God...but rather man's free will and the works of the Evil One

Wouldn't it stand to reason, then, that many of the wonderful things in this world have nothing to do with God, but rather man's free will?

how many have been lifted up through their faith...OR...don't need material things to have the joy and peace of Christ in their hearts

We have come full circle to the true meaning and purpose of religion. So people who have shitty lives can cling to some hope that there is more to their life

How do you KNOW that? Maybe his interpretation is at its face value.

Dear God,

Thank you for making me rich and giving me so much. Too bad for those other people you cursed with disease, deformities and being born into poverty.

------------
Not really meaning to mess with you, but we truly thank God for the wrong things. God did not provide for your family and he did not refuse to provide for others.

God is real, but he is not interactivly providing physical things here on Earth. We should not give glory to Him for our Earthly possessions, but give glory for the path He laid out to us for eternal salvation.

He did fix it...the severed relationship. While we were still sinners, He died for us. That death and the resurrection that followed fulfilled the law...what we deserved for being sinners...He paid. That doesn't make us perfect nor does it get rid of the consequences of our sin. But it does "fix" our broken relationship with Him. He drew us to him through His love for us.

Eh, couldn't one argue that the abilities of man were granted to him from his Creator? Yes,free will, but also omnipotence of an overwhelmingly large God...that none of us can really fathom. He knows the hairs on our heads and He named every star. I guess He could also give us the smarts to build bridges and whatever else we choose to build with our free will.

Religion...and relationships...are two entirely different things. Yes, man has created religions to meet their own end goals. God never wanted religion with us...that is a word made up by men. He just wants our hearts. That is entirely different.

What about being thankful for both. Granted, the OP might not have chosen the best forum to express his thankfulness, but all things that we have do come from Him, or can be traced back to His hand of providence. Jehovah-Jireh...the Lord will provide.

Eh, just another extension of religion. If there's a divine creator out there that's powerful enough to create an entire universe and populate it, he doesn't need the validation of some shitty monkeys populating an insignificant planet in the middle of an insignificant solar system.

I cannot thank a god that only provides to some and not others. That is not my god.

We all love to justify a god that would do this by saying we do not know and are incapable of knowing God's plan.

My God created everything and the possibility for everything to be created, but he does not control the details and distribution. I give glory to God for giving me a chance at existing.
