Marriage license question

How long does it take the state of Tennessee to send you your marriage license back after you get married? Asking for my wife so she can change her name.. TIA

Not sure about Tennessee but in Texas it did not take very long, maybe a couple weeks?

What state sends you the license back, like a cancelled check? Go down to the courthouse and get the certified copy. It should be processed the day they receive it and the time it takes them to receive it is dependent upon how/who submitted it.

Not from Tennessee but mine was about 10 business days iirc
