All the Marine officers I'm serving with right are either supportive or couldn't care less about this.
It always seems to be the small-dick wanna-be-hard-arse enlisted that try and act like this is a 'nail in the coffin' moment for America

To everybody vouching for walking mattresses in combat: my SOI company was the first company in the USMC to ever have females try to just go through the 03 package. There were like 17-20 of them that went through it. Not a single one passed standards.
One got engaged to a guy in the company so the wook was dropped, the male was sent back to a different company.
One got pregnant, automatic drop and separated from the USMC.
Two didn't complete land nav because they sat down and fell asleep and everybody thought they were lost which caused the entire company to have to go on a four hour long hunt for them only to find out later that they were just fricking SLEEPING near the COC.
One hopped into a car full of NCO's which caused all the NCO's to get NJP'd and she was also dropped.
Not a single one passed a single hike. Not a single one qualled at combat marksmanship.
0 out of 17-20 passes the package. They caused every single one of our liberties to be canked, and they all generally sucked at the job of being in the infantry.
And SOI is about a million times easier than IOC. frick females in the infantry.
Also, don't forget that this was just training, not combat.
