Don’t fly Southwest. Problem solved. It’s not even a low cost carrier anymore. I’ve never had any problem and hardly any wait getting through Delta concourse security.

No and I fly SW all the time. Hard shell luggage on 4 wheels. Sometimes I also bring back a fedex box full of beer I check in as well.

No big deal .. Uber to MSY, gate is right there. I’d rather stroll to the gate luggage free looking for the bar.

MSY has the worst Southwest check-in process of any airport I've been to. I try to not check bags, but there are times that it's unavoidable.
