Kudos to the Amazon driver for finding the right address.

This is how I feel about it as well. That is going above an beyond to actually deliver the damn package.

USPS would let it all pile up for 6 months as they laughed while not delivering a single package on that neighborhood route. Meanwhile, Amazon drivers are probably fighting off looters and stray pit bulls every single day, but the packages still get to where they're supposed to go.

She started a GFM for her in-law's house rebuild despite being worth millions. She's not the brightest person

That's bullshite. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? I'm sure the house was pricey being in that area, and if they didn't have or couldn't get insurance, and didn't have the $$$ to rebuild, then they should not have been living there.

I don’t know how this is Amazon’s fault to be honest. How are they supposed to know the people did not want it delivered there?

I agree with this take.

I know people who have packages delivered to hotels, which are then ready and waiting for them when they check in.

Who knows what the package was? Maybe that person wanted to sift through the rubble looking to recover stuff (say, jewelry or similar, that depending on the heat may have survived)?
You get a battery-operated ultrasonic cleaner and solution, a dremel, some brushes and a roll of paper towels, and have it dropped off. Either it comes when you are there, or it's waiting on you.
