Manatee almost threw us off a paddleboard...FL

My friend and I went paddleboarding today, and we saw a shadow, so we went to look. Turns out to be a manatee that we startled, and this sea cow comes flying up, outta the water and nearly sent us flying. It was actually pretty cool. I know, CSB, but it kinda was.

LMAO - I actually asked why sharks don't eat them. So slow. Maybe too much fat? He had barnacles growing on him and obvious propeller marks.

Yes, and now they have become more bold, just what I heard. We tried to track him when we came back through. Saw his snout and shadow, but he was moving a lot, apparently didn't want to be found again. The dolphins that played with us were cool. The guy who rented us the boards said the male dolphin is a regular, got a girlfriend, she dumped him, he was depressed, she showed back up, pregnant, and now he is step dad. Literally, the story we got on the dolphin pair who we hung out with. Drama, everywhere.
