Tell me about it, I get hit by at least 5 year cutting my grass.
Guy I use to work with sat his mountain dew down, came back and drank it and swallowed one. He was allergic and it stung his windpipe. Within minutes he couldn't breathe and when the medics got there they cut his throat open (tracheotomy I think?)and put a breathing tube in. He was very close to dying

He hacked it up right in front of us and pulled it out of his mouth. I think it stung him multiple times
If I'm drinking a can and it's outside, I check every single time for one now. If I cant see anything I hold it up to my ear and listen

My brothet got stung by a Velvet ant when we were like 9-10 yrs. old. He decided to catch it by letting it crawl onto a piece of paper about 3 inches long. Didn't take long for the ant to run out of paper to crawl on, so it didn't end well for my brother. 
Those have always been one of my favorite insects. So cool looking.

When I was in high school, one of these stung me on the side of my foot not long before prom. My shoes were already on the tight side, and I almost had to cut the shoe off that night because my foot had swollen so much.
