First off Trader Joe's shouldn't have rung him up and if he just takes his food or causes a disturbance then have him arrested for stealing. Can't wait for his kids to "stand up" for their rights when their teacher asks them to take out their books. This guy went in looking for a fight. There was a lady standing by door with masks.

Is Lowe’s the grocery chain that lets your drink beer while you shop?
Yup. There's a beer and coffee bar right there in the store where you can sample, get a growler filled, etc. They also dry age their own beef and have a really good bakery and deli section.

Here, you have a single guy who dared attempt to walk in to a store and shop without a mask in a state that doesn't have a mask mandate anymore, and you have your feeling hurt.
Are you just defending the guy because you are misinformed? The mask mandate in Texas doesn't end until tomorrow, which is AFTER the video was filmed. Just wanted to clarify that last part because you don't seem like the brightest person.

No shirt, no shoes, no service = you must wear a mask
If they want you to wear a red nose to shop there, you must if you want to.
Private property......learn it. Know it. Live it.

I don't know why people are surprised TJs has a mask mandate and store capacity requirements still. They are a west coast chain. You should plan on wearing a mask in there and waiting outside in a line for the foreseeable future.
The coasts are still absolutely terrified of Covid, and the chains from those areas will follow suit.
REI has also said they have no plans to stop requiring masks or have store visitor limits, no matter the state or local ordinances (or lack thereof).

think it's incredibly stupid for the government to require citizens to wear masks. But once you step into a business, you need to follow their rules.
I agree, if a restaurant has a dress code I will comply. If a business says no pets, I won't bring one in.
I see no point in being so confrontational about this, IMHO where one if the business requires, and don't if they do not. But I know some personally who disagree and want that confrontation.

are you seriously comparing black people not being able to go to certain places in the 50’s to simply being asked to wear a mask during a pandemic
If you have to leave, you're not being asked, so your strawman is already fricked up.
But yes, I am comparing the two because I see the similarity in terms of power and control over others. If you dont see it yourself, don't worry about and return to your grazing.

You might very surprised at the number of Texan owned business still requiring them. And these are established business, not CA transplants.

Well, they’re just assholes regardless of platform. They’ll pick a fight over a variety of bullshite.

If it's inside a very blue city like Austin or Houston, of course I wouldn't be. Either the owners are also terrified of Covid, or they're terrified of what the local Masked Covidians will do to them if they relax their requirements.
For businesses (both local and national) who don't rely on Masked Covidian business, I expect them to drop the mandates quickly.
ETA: There are two fundamental philosophies at work here. Those who want to live their lives as they see fit, and let others live theirs as they see fit.
And there are the ones who are determined to use the government to make you live your life as they see fit.
I'll let you figure out who is who.

I thought Texas was now mask free?
Posted on 3/9/21 at 12:38 pm to Centinel
I’m in Montgomery County. Arguably, one of the most conservative county in Texas.
The sentiment by the majority of the Texas population is that the mask mandate was lifted due to political guidance and disregarded the science/doctors.
Not arguing with you really, but the vast majority of warm bodies still see a value to masking in such situations.
Now, does rural smaller towns mom and pop shops still mandate masks? Likely, no way.
They are in the minority.

Not until tomorrow, and private businesses can still require masks.

You need proof that the vast majority of businesses require a mask to enter?

You might want to reference census data......besides, logic just as easily answers this for you.
What’s always been funny is historically less than 10% of the Texas population has dictated politics. That’s the reason the Dems are dialed into “voter restrictions”. If the populous voted in actual mass, it’d turn blue quicker than shite through a goose.
ETA: 85+% is urban in TX......
