Is someone trying to say it's recent?
I didn't interpret it that way.
Those aren't South Louisiana style homes either.

Damn, yall are really laying into a woman who first feared for her life and then walked out to her house destroyed.
No doubt, clearly she is in shock. I would think a woman bawling crying after that is a totally normal response.
That was crazy to watch though...all that damage in a matter of seconds.
I just want to say that's exactly how I sounded. Granted we didn't have the destruction and strength of what went through paincoirtville, the sight and sound of what went on was terrifying. I laid in the tub on top of my baby and called my dad, who I doubt I've called "daddy" in 15 years, screaming "daddy daddy daddy daddy there's a tornado on my house please help please help" because it was the most instinctual thing I knew to do at the time. I can't explain why I did that, but my whole body was intensely shaking and I was crying. Once I heard the sirens and police coming in I got out of the tub but I could barely walk because I felt like that "useless pile of goo". Maybe it was the crash post rush from the adrenaline?
I am usually pretty tough about most things, so I've been feeling upset and disappointed in my display of complete terror in front of my son, as he is now traumatized by the entire event. I just couldn't find the strength where I normally do. I was a useless sloth who cried a lot and sat in shock that day.

Wow, never seen anything like that before. That's as close as I want to come to a tornado.

How do people in the Midwest live with those things flying around everywhere? (It seems like a huge tornado touches down 1-3 times a year). I'd take my 110+ degree weather any day over that crazy stuff. Felt so bad for Jodie.
Funny side, she sounds like the other mom on "We are the Millers" :)
