In a fictional land (like the United States 1 month ago) in which men and women had to go to separate public bathrooms, one could allow ones daughter to go into the bathroom alone, confident that if a man attempted to enter after her, one could intervene and prevent that man from pissing next to his daughter or worse. And one would know the law was on one's side. One could expect store security to side with one.

Now, in the real world, you can't expect the law to be on your side. Now, you just have to be ok with a man sharing the bathroom with your daughter. And if something happens, well, it's a small possibility and it might have happened anyway.

So dads, don't fret, the man walking into the
Bathroom after your daughter is probably just confused about what his gender is, and if you can't trust a person with a penis who isn't mentally stable enough to know whether he's a man or woman, well then who can you trust?

The fact that I have to spell this out for the "well it could have happened anyway" crowd is why he have fricking rules in the first place. Some people are too dense to know what to think and how to act.
This is why you don't blithely rewrite the laws of society based on hurt feelings and naive good intentions. You're not smarter than all of the humans that came before you. The rules didn't get written by monkeys nor by accident.
Yes sometimes things need to change, but not everything. And certainly not based on the fashion of the day when it flies in the face of the almost universally accepted beliefs of five minutes ago.
