Man builds working aircraft carrier model from scratch.

I would love to stick one of those ship models on a train layout.

Thank you for that link. My husband has built some ships from scratch and he really enjoyed the link. First the sizes got him (he figured Mr. Shaw used a scale of about 1:100). But when he saw the automations and the board that controlled all the different actions, he was really impressed.

That's impressive as hell. I'd be scared to death of a fire destroying 30 years of work though.
