FWIW, I’m sorry that happened to you. Domestic violence is not okay, and I hope the person who hurt you is prosecuted for it.
Abstractly I understand that when you feel victimized the instinct of keeping everyone at arms length until you feel safe is a tactic, but acting like a giant Brillo pad to a bunch of strangers on the internet isn’t necessary to that goal, and being that abrasive isn’t healthy.

Everything that you said is correct. I can argue with none of it.
FWIW, it was my ex-husband. We’ve been divorced for two years. I never saw it coming, although he couldn’t manage to leave me alone.
Probably best if I don’t post here for the time being.

Try thinking of it as a place where you can be the person you were before someone turned you into a victim that had to be defensive to protect themselves. There’s no real substitute for professional therapy, but a place that you can be anonymously happy can’t really hurt I think.

Terd is married and has a few offspring, however he spent quite a few years at sea while in the Navy.
He may not be gay, per se, but he’s definitely held one in his mouth until the swelling went down. Then there’s the time he told us about when he and his bunk mate beat off in front of each other.
