Lady down the street had a son a year behind one of ours at the same school. My wife took our son to school every morning and FIL picked him up after school on non sports practice day. Wife leaves the house at 7:20, 10 min drive, and was back home by 7:45. School starts at 7:50. Wife said she’d carpool with lady down the street and drive a week and alternate.
Lady friend gets the first week and shows up at our house at 7:45 because….blah….blah….blah….. wife tells her after one day! “Sorry Patti, you are on your own.”
Lady was a constant tardy individual for many events. She lives that way. Crazy.

My SiL was always late for Christmas dinner. My MiL would spend all day cooking a fantastic meal for 10 and everyone knew that it would be ready at 2pm. She and my niece would typically saunter in around 4pm. My MiL, for years, would do a great job keeping things warmed but it was just rude. We kept trying to get her to serve the dinner when it was ready, but she wanted to wait on her. Finally, we got her to go ahead and eat at 2pm. The meal was great, as usual, but what was better was that I was in the kitchen when the SiL sauntered in at 4pm. The look on her face was priceless when I told her that we had already eaten, but there were some leftovers around somewhere.

If you’re 15 minutes early for something … you’re a prick. Be one time. But NEVER be early. That’s a pet peeve.

If people were waiting on me I’d be so anxious and stressed that I couldn’t handle it. How are people okay being the last ones ready to leave, last ones to show up to a dinner/event?
That’s because you’re not a retarded a-hole. I’m not setting the bar low, I’m just saying that’s how you should be if you’re even marginally aware of the people around you.
So many people are blissfully unaware of their surroundings. I hate and envy them.
I hate them because I feel the same way you do and despise waiting on morons.
I envy them because I wish I had the privilege of being dumb enough to not know how my actions affect others.
