I wouldn't blame him one bit. To operate a taco truck successfully, one has to sell a bunch of tacos. I can't imagine trying to keep a restaurant that big open in a town of 800 people...if that. They overbuilt.
There is no problem with the number of people in the area. The problem with Friends was the food was very ordinary and there was no parking. With the prime location on the river this place could make a fortune if properly managed and decent parking.

It's like that in ponchatoula too. The school is bursting with 1800 +.

Have to agree with you, used to be a fan but vowed to never return after my last visit and several years of declining quality. Food was okay, but service was horrid. To top it off we were unable to bring in a cake to celebrate a birthday without paying $4/person or buying their damn cake. Never heard of such, I'm sure restaurants have cost associated with washing the dishes - but damn.... Most places will store the cake for you until you're ready for it.

Oh I agree with that. I realize that there are a metric shite ton of folks moving to this area, and the goldmine potential is there. However, slow and steady wins the race in Madisonville. Just ask Orlando's owner, same for Crabby Shack.

The parking and neighbors are definitely big issues.
The bigger was the owner doing shots with his young waitress/girlfriend while people were waiting on simple drink orders.

There's so many white people around there. Not sure it's gonna work.

Shitty service and meh food has been the issue as far back as I can remember. It's never been any different
