We were in the hospital at the same time as the Brooks family. They kept the girl on life support until the dad got into town. The mother was furious because she said the dad wasnt involved....

But beyond that, the fact she was incapable of providing her address and wandered out into the road where she was killed DEMONSTRATE she was incapable of consenting.

What justice are you talking about? Some drunk chick chased down a bunch of losers to get some dick and then walked out into the middle of the street and got herself run over by a car. I'm not sure why we're all supposed to care so much about this?

Because she was a pretty, white sorority girl at LSU. And the perps were dindu’s. And this is the OT.

Allie Rice needs justice before Madison Brooks.

I think many want to assume this case was just a sad incidence of 4 men completely taking advantage of a helpless 18 year old girl. That may ultimately prove to be the case once all evidence is presented. But given some of the facts made public I think it is reasonable to believe the case is more complicated and nuanced as some might want to think.

I’ve said this several times before, but keep in mind - the vast majority of information, video, etc. that has been made public (all information since the arrests AFAIK) was leaked by the defense.

I think it will come down to the video evidence and other electronic communications (texts, snaps, whatever) that we haven’t seen yet. I also think it’s reasonable to believe that the videos leaked by the defense are the ones that paint the defendants in the best possible light.

Time will tell, though.

I assume there are a decent amount of guys on this board that have daughters about Madison's age, or getting close to it and they can't fathom even the idea that someone just like their little princesses could possibly make these terrible choices and live the lifestyle that she's rumored to have led. Therefore, the only possible explanation is that these guy lured her into their car while she was too wasted to walk, had their way with her and then dumped her on the side of the road and left her for dead. It's not very logical but I guess it's easier to believe that than the more likely scenario.

And what, in your mind, is "the more likely scenario"?

That she drank too much and followed a bunch of losers into a car so she could frick them. It's harsh but that's probably what happened.

The argument is that she was too inebriated to consent to sex... are you saying that's inaccurate?

If it's true that she chased them down and basically begged them to get her get in the car, then that doesn't seem tooo drunk to me.

From the security video, that’s what it looks like.

Where are the leaked videos?

The defense leaked 1 or 2 cell phone videos to the media. Don’t remember which specific network published them, maybe WBRZ, but they’re on one of the local news sites I believe.

The defense also leaked the DNA results to the media.

They wound up getting slapped with a gag order after the 2nd or 3rd time.

There is security camera video of her following them across the parking lot, yes. There is also video of her falling down in the bar multiple times before that (reportedly, though oddly I don’t believe this video was published by the media). I have not seen anything to support the notion that she begged them to get into the car.

But then there’s also Casen Carver saying on video “these guys are crazy, they finna rape her” in the truck. And there’s Kaivon Washington’s statement to police that “she was drunk, drunk.” And her .319 BAC at time of death. And the fact that she (according to defendants) couldn’t tell them where her house was. And the fact that she wandered into the middle of Burbank and got hit by a car.

As I said before we’ll see what else comes out at trial but I’d argue there’s a lot more evidence that she was, in fact, wasted than evidence that she wasn’t “tooo drunk.”

Oh, I'm not sayng that's not what she did. I'm just saying her defense is going to claim that she was too drunk to consent, and her BAC and video evidence may support that claim.

Let me see if I can add some color to your otherwise black-n-white childish prattle.

Do you think Carver might have known about Washington's prior sexual misconduct? Burden of proof is on you to prove he didn't. Hence, his remark, "they finna rape her." So he knowingly brought a rabid dog to a children's park.

She ostensibly wanted a ride home. Hence, the "chase." They knew full well she was drunk. So much so she didn't even know how to give directions to her house. But they had other plans. And do you think that was part of her plans to be filmed? Not sure that road leads to her house.

It was around 2AM, the temp was around 33 degF, and she was known to be drunk. Would it have been asking too much to call 911? Take her to the local police precinct in proximity? Call an Uber? Let her out at a store?

And just curious, how often to sober females get run over in the middle of a road at 2AM by sober motorists? Happens all the time just like you described doesn't it?

I mean, there's literally zero burden of proof on me. I'm a random internet poster just like you. Maybe he didn't know. Then again maybe he did and maybe she had a reputation around town ya know?

I believe I've read that she left her friends to go after the guys. That's not looking for a ride, that's looking to get laid.

What does this have to do with anything? She asked to get out of the car so they obliged. Outside of human decency there's no requirement to do any of those things.
