Macdonald triad theory - For True Crime junkies, Mindhunters related

Listening today about Ryan Sharpe being called a serial killer got me to thinking about a lot true crime I've been listening too.
I knew Ryan Sharpe quite well. Considered him a friend for a year or two back 20 years ago.
Can't say I ever saw this coming. Arrested for a meth lab maybe...yes, serial killer though...not so much.
Anyway, after watching the show Mindhunters and listening to the audio book, "The Killer Across the Table" The subject line theory is based on, if you know a kid that has all three of these tendencies "Cruelty to animals, Obsession with fire starting, Late age bed wetting" then you have a future psychopath on your hands. Psychopath as in serial killer, serial rapist, etc...
Ryan as I knew him, didn't have any of these tendencies although I didn't know him overly well. But from what I understand, the MacDonald Triad theory is pretty damn dead on.

What’s considered “late age bed wetting”

It shouldn't be a problem after age 5 from what I've read.

Interesting.
The cruelty to animals is a fairly common trait among sociopaths and psychopaths. My youngest daughter is a clinical psychologist and she firmly believes in that one. Cruelty that includes torturing animals.
The other two I dunno. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
I know bed wetting can be because of a lot of reasons.
Fire starting, arson .... that's usually a pathology all its own I thought? Weird bunch, usually incredibly intelligent... at least the most prolific of the bunch and not the drive by activist types.

Huh?

The triad links cruelty to animals, obsession with fire-setting, and persistent bedwetting past a certain age, to violent behaviors, particularly homicidal behavior and sexually predatory behavior.[5] However, other studies claim to have not found statistically significant links between the triad and violent offenders.

McDonald's Triad #2: (also known as the triad of fast food sociopathy or IDGAF Syndrome) is a set of [b]three factors that has been suggested (LSUPimp 2018), if all three or any combination of two, are present together, to be predictive of or associated with later shitty fast food tendencies, particularly with relation to fast food offenses.
The triad links cruelty to customers, obsession with getting the order wrong, and persistent instruction to drive forward and wait and then 10 minutes later bringing a bag full of shite you never ordered to any restaurant that features cheap food for fatties and exclusively hires mono-syllabic, scowling people who clearly hate you for asking them to do their job .

95% of the time it's from an unstable household. Maybe from an alcoholic mother or father, older abusive siblings, sexual abuse.
Kids are always nervous, scared, can't sleep well. Terrified of they're surroundings, etc...

Infamous would be better word and I'm not bragging about knowing a serial killer.

For some reason, I thought this was going to be about the Chinese using a popular American fast food joint to do nefarious deeds.
Needless to say, I'm a bit disappointed. Something about a bunch of skinny Chinese guys using obese Americans to fund their criminal activities is mildly humorous.

If any of you like the show Mindhunters, the guy Holden Ford was based on has a great book, "Killer across the table" and confirms a lot about the show.
Holden Firm narrates the audio book.

Any of those three traits are easily concealed and it's not a big leap to see how one would not want to share all three, especially animal cruelty and bed wetting with anyone. The arson angle would be the most likely to be observed by peers as it's "cool".
