That show looked absolutely crazy. Was that the one where the showed the Stones up?
Edit: Yep, that's it. The Rolling Stones told them not to go out on the tongue on the front of the stage. They ended the show with Freebird with the extended solos and RVZ walked the entire band down to the front.

Absolutely blew the Rolling Stones off the stage. They would refuse to have Lynyrd Skynyrd open for them ever again after that.
People can shite on them all they want today, but that lineup at that time was one of the most talented, most driven, groups of musicians assembled. They were so dialed in with each other.

I truly believe that Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, and Zeppelin are the three most talented groups of all time.
