I just called my church in Scottsdale to see if they were doing anything to help out flood victims in LA. They usually try to reach out and help.

The reply: "No, not aware yet of anything"

I then quickly informed them just how bad it is in LA right now and how so many people need help and that I know that church is always looking for ways to help people out. I hate that I have to compare all this to Katrina so they get the magnitude of the destruction in LA right now.

lost electricity for a couple of days, but i have a genny
almost ran out of jack daniels so i went to the store

I think you should take the lead on it since you're so well informed.

I used to work a crisis counseling hotline years ago for a local church. I'd get calls telling me what we should be doing better. No solutions. No initiative.
