I see the same shite all the time up here in DC. OMGerdsotragic....got anymore that cold chai? It's delicious...those per per people. Don't they know it's bad? Dumb bitch beltway syndrome.
And that's enough about that.
And that's enough about that.

Thanks, man. We went to work on that bitch though... got everything ripped out and dried up yesterday. Had a crew of family and friends and some big arse dehumidifiers. We're ready to put shite back together now as soon as their insurance fricks come inspect.

I lost power for about 30 hours... but I had a generator, beer, and whiskey. Ready to help rebuild now.

They're better now. It sucked when I figured out they don't have coverage for contents... but I'm working on that. They did have coverage for the house, car, and camper which are the biggest things.

I think you should take the lead on it since you're so well informed.
I was transferred to someone that works in their outreach department after I talked to someone else. Explained exactly what is going on. She took my number and will call me back later today.
They always do drives and fundraisers....this is a perfect opportunity for them to reach out. I know I'm not the only person from LA that attends that church.

You have no idea. You let them run for a couple of hours and they collect a gallon of water. It's crazy how much moisture they'll suck up. We left them running overnight after we got most of the walls open and the house was pretty much dry the next day... by day 2 it was nothing but dust on the floors.

Look, I'm not the most philanthropic son of a bitch by any means and don't claim to be. But your response screams social advocacy with none of the action.
When she calls you back, say I'd like to help head it up. It's literally showing up with a garbage can for canned goods and bucket for donations.
Then call your local shelters to let them get in touch with bigger groups in the area. They will come pick up your canned goods, put in their trailer and deliver for you. Then you take the money raised and give to a local shelter in BR...St. Jude or some crap.
I feel like this is basic stuff you could do.

shite... that was all my uncle. He's been through this a few times between some of his properties and my other family members. He's built up a collection of all the equipment you need. He rolled into town with a trailer full of tools, 4 big arse dehumidifiers, and went to work. He even brought his camper and parked it in my parents driveway so they'd have a place to stay.
