Good theme for today. 
Recent story, had an additional home (apartment) I rented in LC for work only, and the landlord threatened me with an eviction notice if I didn't pay the remainder of the balance of the lease ($6,700).
I told him no let us work something out. He then told me I had no choice and it's not about money but about making people's lives more difficult, that he loved sticking it people because he could.
