I usually use Stormshield turnout blankets but when it is this cold I use some old blankets my uncle gave me. They are very durable and heavy. I only use them when it is really cold and they stay put. They are a bitch to clean if the horse rolls.
Thankfully, I don't have any horses with hunter clips.
