Asparagus is underrated
A couple I know grows their own asparagus. I was visiting one afternoon and they cut off some asparagus stalks for me to eat - freshly cut from the garden. It was unbelievably tender. If I lived and stayed put at the farm. I would try to grow some.

The secret is bacon

restaurants roast in oven until the outsides are done, done so I am thinking you need to go longer on your saute for sure
