Hopefully he catches some so he can train them up to go hunting with him. My uncle did that with Hawks when I was younger and it was very very cool. Though as I understand it, it may just be an internet rumor, you can even train magnets to fish. That would be vv cool for mpdph.

On the farm we had many hams hanging in the smokehouse to age. 3 - 5 years was a good time to let it age.
My old man sent beaten biscuits and country ham to an owner in California. Did not hear back, finally checked in to see if it was lost in shipping. Guy from California said he did not respond as the biscuits were hard as a brick and the ham was covered in mold. Threw both out.
City folks do not understand country food apparently.
