We buy in bulk. That way when we throw away all the stuff that was spoiled, it cost us less upfront.

We are smart like that.

it is cheaper for me to buy bagged salad at Sam's and throw half away than buy the small bag at the regular grocery store.

i like to shop for the deals and will review the weekly fliers for discounts

it also helps to shop on tuesday nights before the wednesday ad goes into effect. a lot of stuff will be one time 25% off. i recently got two packs of bacon 25% and that is hard to find.
