I guess the short of it is -
I traveled around the world, lived around the country, thought I could change things in DC in the end. Covid fricked up my world and I guess that put it in overdrive, and now I'm at a crossroads of do I want to keep going down this road, or move to a suburb, work remotely, and pretend I don't care about politics, or something like that

Try not to worry about all of that and move to the country. GRT is correct, you might try to distance yourself from politics, but politics is extremely interested in you. When I lived in NOVA I was a political junky, now I don't argue politics much anymore, but I still follow it.
