I've been getting the Oscar Mayer Angus Beef franks, but only when I can't find the Nathan's or Hebrew National. And only the beef ones, not those chicken/turkey/pork garbage ones.

That's how I would do mine, but I like real cheddar cheese melted on top. So I lightly toast the bun on the grill. Then, when I load the dog, I can zap the cheese in the microwave and melt without the bun getting soggy. Even toasted, buns MUST be fresh. Outside is a bit crispy, but inside is fresh and fluffy.
