You can also always buy him small, inexpensive, thoughtful gifts if you want to feel like you are contributing. He can't refuse it...cause it's a gift and he will think you are being sweet for being so thoughtful...and you get to feel like you aren't just letting him pay for everything.

We met 10 years ago and never really gave it a chance - both were more focused on being young and dumb. Now we are doing it long distance. I guess, if you can't make it work when you are living in the same city when you are younger, try again when you are older and living 15 hours apart.
