Terd I'm not a fun drunk. I either get really emotional and become some crying mess that won't stop puking that you just want to GTF away from or I find a quiet corner and curl up and go to sleep. It's why I just don't drink to that point anymore.

The whole guy paying for everything stuff makes me uncomfortable. I don't know when/where it's appropriate to start splitting things down the middle - I offer whenever there is a chance to. Honestly the guy I'm with now feels like he should pay for everything when it comes to us going out. He's very old school though/has that provider mentality and I'm not used to it.

Noho it was delicious. Mother in law made the entire cake (frosting and all) from scratch.
Pox....I think in the beginning it's ok. Then as you become exclusive as a couple you should have more of a team approach to stuff like that. Meaning...you don't expect him to pay for everything all the time. Doesn't have to be always split down the middle every single time, but that you do offer to pay at times to show him you aren't being a gold digger.

He just looks as it as he brings in a bigger income than I do and he's the man and should provide. I have offered, even with small stuff, I had to go to walgreens the other day and he wanted me to take his debit card to get him some shaving cream 'and whatever I needed'. I was like "errrrr...Thank you, but I don't need your card and don't mind picking up you some shaving cream - I'm already going"
I did pickup the hotel for a couple nights on this trip but he didn't know I was doing that until after I booked it. I'm sure he hated not being the name on the reservation.

I told them I didn't approve and even told them no when they asked me to pay for a hotel room

I made a chicken sausage gumbo and tater salad yesterday and invited some of my Yankee friends...we also had an assortment of dips and a king cake

Nothing wrong with that. As long as he isn't holding that over your head to gain more control in the relationship then just enjoy it. Just let him know that you really appreciate him wanting to care for you but that sometimes you would like to help out too.
