l-thray all
i have a story to tell.
me story
This was several years ago, maybe when he first got into the game... But I saw him near the Sams on Siegan. It was me and my nephew who was maybe 11-12 at the time. He approached us a little more aggressive than he should have. I did what I do anytime a beggar ask. I ignore the frick out of them and just keep going as I would if they were not there. My nephew would stop and I'd tell him to ignore him. I was talking in my normal voice loud enough he could hear.
I told my nephew "don't ever give anything to beggars. Don't fall for their bullshite stories because thats why they do all day and people give them money so instead of getting a real job they rather go around collecting tax free money from any sucker who falls for their bullshite".
And this dude told my nephew.. And I am paraphrasing.. something like "I hope you grow up to be a better person than your little friend there. I need help and all I am doing is asking if anyone can help me out. More people need to let Jesus in their heart". That pissed me off and I did what I shouldn't have done.. engaged with him and that could have put me and my nephew in danger, which came to me after the fact, but I said something like "well you ran into fricking satan today you worthless frick" and thats when I realized I needed to get out of the situation so I told my nephew to speed up and get int the store. I told a worker that was between the entrance and tire section (not one of the old people by the door because they probably would have looked at me and just smiled not hearing anything I say) that there was a guy in the parking lot harassing customers asking for money, etc.
Once I informed the guy my nephew asked "why did you tell him the man pushed me?" and I told him "the more serious it sounded the more serious they will take it". We were in there for about 15-20 mins and when we came out, there was an EBR Sheriffs unit parked right out front and the deputy was talking with someone and I didn't see this jerkoff anywhere.. But I am pretty sure I have seen him near LSUs campus on a few game days. I noticed he wasn't on campus walking through tailgate parties or anything. He probably knows some drunk dude would punch the begging out of him if he ask the wrong person..
But do the math. Lets use a traffic light. A cycle is every 3 mins so someone who is begging at a traffic light has 20 opportunities an hour to walk through cars waiting for the light to turn green. People are always giving them shite, but lets say they get an average of $5 each cycle. That's $100 cash every hour. Lets say they do it 6 days a week for 5 hrs a day. Thats $3k a week. 52 weeks in a year thats $156k in straight cash. While I doubt they are saving it up, its still money they can access just by begging..
Sorry for the long post. frick these people

That sounds like good groceries.
I also have a long story but am kind of too lazy to type it all out. Let me think aboot it while I contemplate making a roux, or cranking the smoker.
