It's a 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon 75%/2010 Syrah 25% ---from a winery in Mendocino County

Yes it is laying down in a wine rack that is tipped slightly down. No direct sunlight on the winerack.

Hey Aspy!

I'm taking a quick break from schoolwork for the day. I'm so sick of this shite.

If I remember it correctly...it was really nice.

Was a cool winery as well. Their tasting room was really cute and was dog friendly as well. We had gone to several wineries there that didn't mind our dogs with us in the tasting rooms.

Crack that one open for your anniversary in about 4 or 5 years.

The ones in Solvang, further down the coast, were run by snobby shits who wouldn't allow dogs. Some good wines, though.

I bought a Seasmoke Pinot Noir that was out of this world.

We had read the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area in general was very dog friendly. And they were. Several dog friendly beaches, wineries, shops, etc.

I've been wanting to try that one. I'm not a fan of the box, at all. It's a last resort this week to stay in budget.

Perhaps a trip to nola would allow for more and better bottles well within budget.

Oops. Must have missed a post or misread one. Thought you were talking California wine country, which is where Solvang is.

I've been to the Fort Bragg area, but did not get to do any tastings when I was there. Good info. Thanks.

You ever visit a Total Wine store? They have them all over here.

Like a massive Target...floor to ceiling full of wine and other alcohol(but mostly wine).

It is good that you are into wine.

I always try and find the line of value and my taste buds.

They will also def give you a discount if you take the time and ask him questions. Let him show you around and get to know him a bit. Buy a case and you will get a very good deal. Young guy in he's late 30's early 40's. Always has hot Tulane girls working there. You won't be disappointed

I come from a social family where gatherings are frequent and never without wine.

I'm right at 30 and I'm fortunate to have been able to try many of the wines that I have.

Anderson Valley is where all the wineries are. And also a brewery (Anderson Valley Brewing Co).

Scoob, speaking of blends, you ever try Gentleman's Collection?

It's a delicious daily drinker that can be had a Albertsons for about 13.50 - 15.00.

Around 10 years old we could have a glass at family gatherings. French people..
