Good afternoon, lezkillit. Surgery isn't until 8/26 (coincidentally, the day my Dad died). I had a nice surprise yesterday. The woman I met in Philly said she was going to try to come to Virginia for a few days to take care of me after the surgery. I thought it was a genuinely nice gesture.

I'm fine. On sabbatical this week. This is the slowest time of year for bars in Texas. Lots of 'em do repairs before college gets back going.

I only post regularly when I'm not working. I have a highly addictive personality... surprise.

I saw in one of those threads you were up in Saratoga. Ever make it down Texas way?

Hello, troubl.

I'm too old to make any crass comment on the "crusty" misspelling.

ETA: Post-op snuggle, indeed. Plus, I get some great drugs (dilaudid) as a post-op party favor.

I was just visiting a friend from out of town when she had a couple horses out at Track 2 in Grand Prairie (thought I'd ask you nxt chance). You ever end up down in East Tx - give me a shout. Even if just for BBQ suggestions.

I used to fly horse people all the time. Chartering a flight is actually pretty reasonable especially if your traveling with a group that can split the expenses and don't get the biggest jet you can find. And you can fly into smaller airports that are much closer to your destination if you aren't going to a big city.
