Personally, I don't mess with NFL games much at all. In CFB, you have a lot of match-ups in which one team has a much higher chance of winning than the other team..
I could go into more detail about that, but I will not type a bunch of shite just so people can reply tl;dr. But if I were forced to bet on the Saints & NYJ, I would bet NYJ +15.5 or 16.. The higher you can get it the better.. The Saints are 7-6 ATS, NYJ are 7-5-1 ATS.. In a situation like that, if the lines is more than 7, I would take the team that is not favored.
No matter how bad a team is in the NFL, it's not like one team is much more talented than the other.. They are still all professional football players.. And it is still possible for the 0-13 Browns to beat the 11-2 Eagles. So with the fact that any team in the NFL always has a shot to win, I never like to beat a team that is favored by more than 7.... For the most part... But anything more than 10, I would either pick the the underdog or not mess with it at all..
