Anyone remember a professor in the LSU music department who taught Music Appreciation in the mid to late 80’s?
Something like Folse or Faltz?

Yes, his name was Fritz Fatz and he smelled like fermented beaver cheese. He often regaled the class about one day some queer bait would post about him on the interwebz.

LSU in the mid 80s??? Fawk dude, you’re 60?

Yep, 60. Took a couple of his classes as electives and got to really love music I never would have-classical baroque as well as some more contemporary stuff.
Just can’t recall his name

Was that the guy that gave extra credit if you went to concerts on campus?
He got mad at class because people were getting their tickets and walking out early

Were you that dude who smoked weed while walking across the parade grounds every day?

People think it's a blowoff course. It's not hard but there's more to it than sitting around listening to music.

It was hard. We had to listen and then identify classical music for tests .. that all sounded the same.
My now husband took it with a different professor and it was more music history. He had it easy.

I had his class. Frat star gets up and walks out about midway through. He chases the guy down and brings him back in a headlock.

I got a C, no it isn’t an easy grade.

Was talking tonight about this class with my daughter who is taking Art Appreciation online at LSU. We all thought this would be a blow-off class. Was not and barely made a C.

Who was the douche that made you tear pages out of the book for quizzes so you could resell it ?
He would play something and go don't clap for that
