Thanks. You could say that (and you may be the first on here). I should be studying for the Bar right now. But this Alagood situation pisses me off to no end. The guy's an egomaniac. He tries to make it sound like he was some pariah due to his orientation and liberal views, but the reality is that he came to LSU with one thing in mind, and that was to stir shite up and get famous. He didn't acquaint himself or even attempt to intermingle socially to my knowledge because he thought he was better than everyone else. Didn't he go to some 'elite' Northeastern school? I think he came to LSU and immediately regretted being around all us rubes after being in a bullshite PC environment up north so he just sat in the corner and tried to find ways to shite all over his peers. Gays and minorities were treated more than fairly by their peers. There was a gay wedding between two students that was well attended and I believed presided over by a Professor (i'm guessing Kyle wasn't there). I can't vouch for the infamous 'craps' game but generally LSU Law is quite tolerant experience for the students. If you weren't accepted, it's because you were an antisocial prick.

Weiss stepping down had nothing to do with the diversity mess
Jack Weiss came into LSU as an outsider. He was not liked in 2008 through 2011 when I was there. He replaced all the Vice Chancellors with his own people when he arrived and there was a lot of turmoil over the direction he wanted to take the law school.
He was Especially unliked by the Civil Law professors. The civilians have their own way of thinking and tend to hold very tight to the civil law and want it to continue to be fully embraced by the law school.
Diversity may have been used by his enemies as a tool to undermine Weiss. But it was not the issue.
Like the civil war, it was fought over economics and southern cotton being sold to France and England rather than the northern states. Northern factories were sitting silent because Europe was paying better prices for southern cotton. Northern ships blockaded southern ports and away things went Slavery only became an issue late in the war when the northern public started turning against the war and Lincoln. Lincoln had to give the war a higher moral purpose and made slavery the issue to gain support from the public and sustain the war effort.

Go in peace, my son.
And remember. You just have to hoist yourself a little ways off the bottom to pass.

All of this. It's funny to see people like Carter try and act like they played a role in toppling him.

I'm gonna hold this near and dear to my heart for the next three weeks.

You learned that in law school?

I think in one of his huff post articles he claimed he was accepted into Michigan law school and wishes he would have gone there instead. Why anyone would go to LSU law school over Michigan is beyond me and should tell you the type of person you are dealing with right off the bat.

She's going after Devlin next.
Why?
The rumor--again, rumor--was that he made some inappropriate comment that offended her, and she brought it to Weiss. I don't think he did anything about it. There was talk of a Title 9 complaint but that's all I heard of the matter.

Well Devlin is kind of a dick...

I chose LSU over the University of Virginia. I'm a Louisiana boy, and my home state gave me a free ride to law school. And unlike that yankee Robert Frost telling it with a sigh, I'm saying it with a big old Southern grin.
Two roads diverged in a law school bid
And I, I took the one less travelled by
And that has made all the difference.

Devlin and Baier give zero shits about any of her antics.
Just offer Coennen the job as chancellor and be done with it. If not, he will be gone within 2 years.

How long ago did you go to law school? With the market like it is right now, you are taking a HUGE risk passing on a top tier law school for LSU, especially when you don't graduate anywhere near the top of the class at LSU.
However, he doesn't strike me as the type that wants a job at a law firm. I'm sure he will be in DC working with some non-profit SJW cause.

No. But I did learn to read in law school.
Which enabled me to read books since.

Ironic, as he too passed up the opportunity to graduate from arguably the top law school at the time.
