I can't even imagine the amount of condoms they will find in the pipes there. Good lord.

I lived in Kirby myself. I believe it's out of commission starting next year. Demolished perhaps. (maybe i dreamt that)

Living in a shitbox builds character.

I've tried to explain this to my spoiled arse sister more times than I can count. She got a condo off campus her freshman year cause she didn't want to live in a shitty place. Most of my best friends through college were people I met in the dorm, or dining hall.... hell the dude I still run a tailgate with was a guy I met in herget.... she meanwhile is a senior with barely any friends and wonders why

I just thought it was a wild experience in general. I'm not friends with anyone I met from my particular dorm. All of my friends were from within my major/stripes/etc.. BUT the whole atmosphere of living on campus and being able to just roll out of bed to class and vice versa or having all of your freshman friends basically within 5-10 minute walking distance to each other is what makes it an incredible experience. It's almost the same feeling as being at sleepaway camp.

totally agree... that and late night being able to walk around campus right out your door, sneaking liquor in coke cans while hanging in the lobby, coming down and always finding someone chilling on the balcony, walking to all the just off campus restaurants at crazy late at night... that's some of the stuff I look back on most fondly

Definitely. That and it's when you're at your most rabid as a football fan and that was easily the most dramatic/best team we had while I was at LSU (2012). Just coming off the GOTC and the Mulligan bowl, the whole season felt like a revenge season against Alabama, we actually had multiple all americans and we hadn't quite hit the lethargy that plagued the last 3ish years of the Les Miles era. That all combined with the excitement of freshman year of college was an incredible experience.

sounds awesome man... hate to be the one up guy but my freshman year was 07.... no one in any of the dorms slept for awhile after the Florida game... and I remember herget losing it's collective shite as they announced we were playing for the natty... good times man

Im on campus now in laville so take it first hand from me.

as far as niceness
1. Cypress
2. laville/blake
3. West, North or south
4. all others

Miller, seven floors of whores

socially speaking, blake is most fun

Pentagon was a good mix of no real supervision and quasi-crappy dorm life experience. I was always happy I was there compared to Herget, McVoy or Kirby.

Something I will always remember about dorm life. As shitty as the general conditions were, the A/C was always on absolutely full blast thank the gods. Not once did I ever walk into McVoy and not immediately feel the sweet rush of crisp air conditioning on a hot day. When the windows are completely fogged up, you know it's good A/C.
