the county has so few people, but there's so much activity from the oil industry -- I've been to Mentone, and, despite having a population of only a few dozen, we were stuck in a traffic jam of hundreds of 18-wheelers and oil field baws. Really strange place. Trucks, rigs, and sand are about the only things I saw out there.

I live in a town with a population of 10,500. My hometown county in west Texas had a total population of 1,400. Not quite Loving Co small but pretty sparsely populated.
