We'll see if Governor Cock Sucker does the smart thing and gets rid of the mask mandates when it's up in early September.

My guess he will keep it through September.

He will keep it at least one month longer than the corresponding data shows we are past the surge.

Yeah we are only 13 days from it expiring. I'm sure hospitals will be decreasing by that point, but probably nowhere to the level where he can't get away with extending the mandate.

He'll extend it.

100%.

Because he will claim the masks are what caused the decline and that we cannot afford for another surge so we have to keep them a month to make sure its dead.

Even though he and everyone around him knows its total nonsense.

I’m just worried that he will pull the same vaccine passport BS that NO is doing.

No doubt it does and seems to use a multiplier by population density which would be a correct assumption even if the multiplier is incorrect.

I get that this is a useful tool, not the gospel

Not as fully as NOLA but he will put something in place.

And I guarantee that Teedy will keep that mask mandate in place through AT LEAST October if not the end of the year, and that vaccine mandate ain't going away, maybe ever.

Who cares, just show a picture of someone else's card if you have to go some place requiring it

I’m just curious if a business challenges it in court of some sort. Unlike Cali or NY, the attorney general in La does not have the same values as the mayor of NO.

I could see someone like Tracey's doing it.

But they would have to have some serious balls, because NOLA is a banana republic and it is pretty clear that Teedy will make your fricking life miserable if you challenge her.

If you lose, your business is essentially over.

Or you just relocate across the parish line or on the NS.

thats kinda crazy no? how was it not lower in like May?

It has to do with how many active cases there are.

If you have 10 active cases a Rt of 0.99 will keep you lower than 10 cases indefinitely.

If you have 1,000 active cases and a Rt of 0.99 it’s going to take 100 years for the case count to come down.

Since we had such a high peak and now covid has run out of viable hosts the Rt is going to go way lower than ever before if cases are going to drop very quickly.

Remember Rt just means for every infected person X number of people will be infected.

The Rt will also be much lower as total percent of population ever infected increases because there are lest viable hosts.

Stupid motherfrickers

We knew they would do this. As soon as cases decrease they start talking about deaths. They aren’t fooling us anymore.
