What bothers me is that we call these people "poor" and they're all a bunch of huge fat asses. Having an iPhone and a flat screen does not equate to poverty in any other civilization in the world. These entitlements are ridiculous and they make me puke.

The actual rule says hot food, we have to be careful to only serve warm boiled crawfish to food stamp customers.

You do know that iPhones and flat screens are extremely affordable now. It's not really difficult for anyone from any walk of life to get one.

Are you serious? Really? They are affordable to people with jobs, as they should be. They should not, however, be affordable to someone on government assistance. If you can afford a data plan, get the frick off of food stamps.

So if they buy a $100 flatscreen at the pawn shop and pay $15/month for a data plan they should automatically be disqualified. I always love the hyperbole in these threads.
I am all for limiting the frick out of a lot of things, but it is funny to come in these threads and read about "all the poors" and "they all".
We should make a law that you can't own a TV (or it has to be a CRT) if you get assistance. I think that would solve everything. Oh, and only iPhone 3s

People need to start understanding the single most fundamental component of the modern US political sphere.
There is nothing monetarily significant that is legislated and achieved in this country without the utmost approval of business leadership. This who American politicians represent.

If you have a job and are on government assistance, you're first priority should be not being on government assistance, not an iPhone. If you don't see that, you're part of the problem.
Meauxjeaux, I agree. It's the government that allows this type of behavior that is the root of the problem. That doesn't mean I can't get the red arse when it's flashed in my face.
