Not too upset. Was pretty sure it was inevitable. Back in LA doing some repairs to my parents house for them. Me and old man been going fishing a lot too. Gonna enjoy the summer. Planning 2 week road trip for end of june

Same for me Nado. Going to try and see the silver lining and spend some time with my son and grandparents. At least we have until August 1st and then the shite really hits the fan when the CARES unemployment supplement runs out.

I dont have a wife and kids so it makes it easier for me. May even go back for the 4 year degree I never got.

It will be worse. The industry hadn't fully recovered from 2015 and this downturn is worse than the one in 2015, much worse. It will trickle down into a good portion of the Louisiana economy.
Remember when the 4 lane of highway 90 ended abruptly in Morgan City? That was due to the oil bust in the 80's. This downturn could be worse.

374 isn't the bottom either. There are still a lot of rigs that will be laid down when they finish up current wells/pads. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the total rig count in the US dipped below 200. I think that would be the extreme but I feel confident that it will drop below 300.

I’m going to give it to mid-July and if still no new job I might look west. My entire background is aviation and with the oilfield chopper market being garbage I won’t have anything here. Wife and kid can stay for all I care, I’m not flipping burgers. Don’t like Louisiana that much lol

The day I got my red card I asked my wife where she wanted to live if we made a crazy move right now. She listed off places in the Rockies that she likes but PNW checks all the boxes.
