Two students at a Louisiana high school who poured a chemical into a teacher’s drink and filmed it on Snapchat were arrested Friday on a felony count of mingling harmful substances, authorities said.

Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the 17-year-old Eunice High School juniors mixed Krud Kutter, an all-purpose cleaning solution, into the teacher’s cup Wednesday when she stepped out to get supplies. The Advocate reported Fontenot says a girl poured the chemical into the drink while a boy filmed her and acted as a lookout.

“She did take a taste of it,” Fontenot said. “She noticed a strange taste to her beverage. She discarded the rest and didn’t consume anymore. As far as we know, she did not drink or consume enough to affect her health.”

Another student showed the video to a school resource officer Thursday. Fontenot says the suspects said they did it as a prank. The students will not be charged as adults, KATC.com reported.

Back in my day, school pranks did not include poisoning your teacher’s drink, but then again, we had guns in our vehicles and not once ever concerned ourselves with someone going to their vehicle to get their gun and shoot up people in the school.

What.in the world is wrong with these kids today?

Never leave your drink unattended with teenagers. Rookie mistake.

I'm not gonna say that I didn't do stupid shite when I was a teenager. But frick man, even as bad as I was with the poor decisions I would frequently make, I knew better than to pour something like that in somebody's drink.

Somewhere, this girl's parents failed her big time.

Those kids? I'm not sure. Kids in general? They're fine.

I remember changing the clock in detention forward 15 minutes when the teacher was out of the room. I would have never considered poisoning anyone though. That's screwed up.

Their parents will be around shortly to defend this prank as simply "kids being kids" instead of giving them the arse-beating they deserve.

I need to know the demographic of the students before I comment and predict the outcome of the type of punishment that will be ultimately administered. After all these kids might have grew up without air conditioning.

There was someone in my math class who broke two of a teacher's fingers by putting a rat tap with keys in it under her desk.

Though I didn't go to a good school. A kid shot a teacher in class my freshman year.

If you're gonna pull a prank like that the last thing you want to do is broadcast it on social media

We were all pretty stupid as highschoolers, but that takes it to a whole new level.

Social media and video games are reality to them. No consequences and you never really get hurt or die, always an option to re-up your health by clicking on something.

Back in my day, we boys (not me specifically) bought some “Spanish Fly” from a truck stop bathroom vending machine on the way to our school field trip at a water park? We put it in the “hot teacher’s” coke in hopes that she might get frisky and show us her boobs. No luck!

Where were the young hot chick molester teachers when we were in school?!?

You need to be 50 before you can use social media or something. All these young people trying to become internet stars.

Fwiw, Krud Kutter says it's non-toxic on the bottle. Kids probably didn't know it could be very harmful.

I heard a ballsack was dipped in a teacher’s drink in an Alabama classroom at a nearby school. Makes sense, since the Phoenix City, Alabama teabagger incident in NOLA gave inspiration to the perp.
