Gov Bevin puttin in work
Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin has awarded a member of his administration a $215,000 raise, leading the worker to make more than double the governor's salary.
The Courier Journal reports the executive director of the Commonwealth Office of Technology, Charles Grindle, now makes around $375,000 annually. The state government's online database of employee salaries says Grindle now is the highest paid employee in Bevin's administration.
The 134 percent raise was awarded during a time when the state budget offered no raises for state government workers or teachers. The Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, which houses the Commonwealth Office of Technology, says cost savings realized by Grindle's leadership cover the raise's cost. Grindle previously was paid $160,000 annually.
The newspaper says Grindle and Bevin's administration didn't respond to requests for comment.

In Louisiana, his title would be Executive Director of Statue Removal

Bevin is only the 2nd Republican governor in decades, and I had hoped he was different. He's not. This is truly disappointing to me as a taxpayer in this state.
That is a ridiculous salary for a govt employee, and a ridiculous raise overall.

Yeah but does Kentucky’s state police higher ups stay home all the time and collect overtime checks?

Bevin has always been a piece of shite, it was awesome when McConnell slapped him around a few years ago.

Yeah, I thought Bevin would change things in Frankfort. I guess not.

And multiple pensions, yes, I'm sure they do.

Maybe the governor actually wants to retain quality employee by paying them good money?
Is Kentucky seeing results? If so, quit worrying about fairness like a common SJW.

Oh, you cut costs?
Let's just go ahead and get rid of those savings by giving it to you instead of refunding the taxpayers
