Probably a mix of deaths, admittance, and releases.
At least 5 people admitted to the 48 known vacancies.

There’s a difference between being done and being responsible in the measures that need to be taken to state safe. Unfortunately, Louisiana is filled with good ole boys that still think this is some government conspiracy and refuse to comply with measures.

Exactly. If they were to ease restrictions then their cases would increase as well.

I agree. I’m just saying they aren’t done like someone else mentioned. As with most states when the reopen they will see a surge again. There’s no stopping this thing. I actually like what we are doing here. Phase 2 does make a difference but we’re also not delaying the inevitable. It’s all about controlled spread.

IMO it's about biasing infections towards young and healthy people.

Hospital capacity not being expanded from April is pathetic.
JBE asked for 12,000 ventilators but is stressed over 1600 hospitalizations. Makes no sense.

People fled the city as well. I know of a handful that are allowed to telecommute so they headed back to their native homes until this all blows over.
I point that out to show that is is probably not one single thing, a combination of many different. That's a super dense city.

Hospitalization and vents are great news.
Positive percentage over 11 is not great but not terrible by any means. Does anyone know what, if anything, the guidance says is recomended for positive % to move to Level 3? If I remember it was to be below 10 for 2 weeks or so to go from 1 to 2.

Something like 15 days decreasing.
Would imagine they will want to see 15 days decreasing below 10% before they move back to full phase 2.

Misinformation like there aren’t any double tests counted, we are running out of hospital beds and space, that we needed a $150,000,000 convention center hospital, gyms are hotspots for transmissions, and that large gatherings in the streets had nothing to do with the spread?

% Positive increases when you stop testing asymptomatic people who came into contact with asymptomatic positives and go back to only testing those that show symptoms.
It’s also the best way to get additional federal dollars which is what Captain chucklefrick almost said was his goal at his presser last week

This keeps being said, but I haven't seen any proof of it.
Two weeks ago we were the leader in testing because we were trying to find everyone for federsl dollars. Now that testing has scaled back we are trying to isolate to find only infected.
Why didn't we just test only the infected when we had so many tests? Why would we scale back if negative tests don't matter?
This theory is holding less and less when applied to what is happening.

Stronger ones, more adaptable ones and new ones will step in. It's the way of the world. I'm pretty sure a large number of businesses fail every year. I think pandemics tend to shake things up and create opportunity in the long run.
