I'm unsure if that's supposed to be an insult..
Of course it is. You went to a bottom feeding school and now practice a bottom feeding type of law. You're whole professional existence is pathetic.

We've spotted the defense counsel.
They are feisty when they are young, then 10-12 years down the road the light bulb goes off that they will be bitter, angry old men who have to work till they day they die. And you can put a 4k dollar suit on one and they still look like shite.

Seems like the type to spend two hours in a depo asking about jobs plaintiff had in the 80's on $500 wage loss claim.

It looks like Jim got drunk the other night and really let loose here.
I find the defense guys like Jim who really get personal and call every PI guy scummny are the really interesting ones. The whole business model of insurance defense firms is to grind everything out on the back of the young guys. They'll pay you decent, but you're sacrificing your quality of life. Therefore, they need something else to hang their hats on. That's why they think they're better than everyone else. They have to to make it all worth it. The Jones Walkers and Kean Millers and BSWs will only hire Top 10% and Order of the Coif from LSU and Tulane, and hold that out as how prestigious they are, but in reality those are the types of kids who have always been Type A overachievers and would have no problem billing 2100 a year and missing out on family time.
There is abuse at the margins on both sides, so I'm not sure he's totally wrong, but the piss and vitriol accompanying it puts him squarely in the category above.

Well there's that aspect of it as well, but it's the arrogance up on the high horse that always makes me laugh.
Like yeah, I don't think many of the lawyers at the mills serving as glorified adjusters are the next Atticus Finch, but I also don't think the guy alleging fraud in every comp case for leverage is a paragon of virtue either.

I'm on #teamsouthern even though I didn't go to southern
You have to be an idiot to insult someone just because of the law school they went to. I have met plenty of incompetent idiots in my < a year practicing that went to top law schools.

Well that reputation or perception is assumed since the undergraduate and graduate school is an hbcu. And is probably in dire straits

It is definitely a two way street but you'll never hear that from the defense side. Guy is melting because he knows plaintiffs lawyers walk away making more off that $100k policy limit case than he will in six months grinding out six minute intervals for GoAuto.

As sure as the sun comes up, SULC will get thrown under the bus in any legal/law school thread. I take it as a badge of honor at this point. It's especially humorous coming from someone who paid for a full ride at either Tulane or Loyola.

There's a reason sulc is laughed at and it's because it's a bad law school. By the numbers, it's simply a bad law school. Like anything else, statistics don't necessarily apply at the individual level, but I felt like LSU was filled with dopes and the students I met from sulc were even worse. And that's not to say I'm some sort of genius. I graduated from LSU, not Harvard. But listening to sulc students study with each other at LSU's library or out and about in coffee shops and stuff, they were failing to grasp basic, basic concepts. On the other hand, I know plenty of competent lawyers from there, so that doesn't apply to all of their students.
