Evergreen but not Bunkie? I know which place I’d rather live in.

The crazy thing is that if JBE gets his light-rail, the terminal will almost 100% end up being smack dab in the middle of the 70802. Overnight the real-estate in 70802 will skyrocket to unheard of levels.
Talk about wealth shock...
But on the real, there are a few artsy types who have converted some space into residential over this way near the Bus Station.

Monroe’s fricked. They should’ve revitalized downtown and tried something when they had the chance.
It’s sad because I honestly feel Monroe has a lot of potential to be a nice place if someone took over that cares enough to save it from itself. Downtown area could be nice if cleaned up, there’s plenty of space to put some kind of shopping/entertainment on the river. Lots of open land for sports venues. Nobody seems to care enough to do anything to make it what it could be though.

Yeah if you actually looked at the map it was everywhere south of the Interstate which is a very distinct border in Monroe. North Monroe was on the list that was posted earlier in the top 50.
But agree with sta4ever, Monroe really does need to do something to revamp the economy because, while North Monroe is still a great place to live, the poors are slowly creeping in.
Evidenced by the Garden District, which used to be a great place to live, is slowly becoming not very desirable to live in.
Everyone is moving out to Sterlington, which is causing the city to lose even more tax money.

You realize that Monroe(71201) was on the wealthiest list yesterday?
But, Monroe is still screwed. Sterlington needs to annex north Monroe.
