6 is just way too young.

I'm sure he knew he was loved. Prayers sent for your comfort and peace.

Its almost always fatal in goats. My 6 year old feeds the animals and we were almost out of corn and he mixed in dog food. Goats cant process the proteins. The only solice i got was that i noticed how she wasnt as reactive while i was mowing as usual, so she got a lot of attention before she died. Had i not noticed, wed have just woke up to a dead mini outta no where. That, and she didnt seem to have trouble breathing and a bloat either compresses the lungs and suffocates them, or compresses the heart, and i think it was the latter.

Sad story aside, theyre awesome pets. I loved that thing. Just be aware that if you have fruit trees, bushes, or decorative trees youre trying to grow, theyll go to town on them. I think she ate my entire blueberry harvest and i have over a dozen bushes. Tore my citrus tree in half and got chased around the hard while she ate it lol.

Our 6 year old German Shepherd has been at the vet for a week. They found lung cancer a few days ago. Vet called earlier and said he collapsed when they took him out in the yard and he passed away. This fricking sucks. RIP Kane I'm gonna miss my friend
Going through something similar now and it’s devastating.
