I knew an alumna from one of the last Pride HS graduating class. Carrie Mae Bourgeois. Could there be a more Louisiana girl's name? She was a great person.

Wasn’t the all female Providence absorbed into Menard as well?

Mt. Carmel-New Iberia. Consolidated with CHNI.
The two elementary schools I attended (Grand Marais and Pebbles) were demolished after Katrina and Rita. A new school was constructed (Caneview?) to replace them. Strange looking at where they were and seeing nothing.
Also, the Center Street Junior High was closed and I think turned into an old folks home or something.

What about Light of the Way? Don't see it listed.
One of Rev. Billy Tuddle's schools that was closed after the storm.

You're right, I had originally typed Bonabell, but remembered Bonabell stayed open and GK closed. Bonabell may also technically be in Metairie too though.

Broadmoor 1979 here.
Believe me when I say that my high school doesn't exist anymore.

Lots of recognized school names. I graduated from St. Martin's and can remember playing sports against: Clifton L Ganus, NO Academy, Port Sulphur, Boothville Venice, Buras, Ridgewood Prep, River Oaks Academy, and Sam Barthe (which was sold and name changed to Ecole Classique). Surprised to see Grace King closed several years ago even with the prior co-ed change and influx of Hispanic population.

GK was the odd school out haynes needed a new building and the area around GK has likely the highest density of private school students in LA. HS enrollment in JP publics is tanking.
