Be real interesting to see how this works with the whole “defund” narrative.

IF you actually wanted this to work, the way to do it would be for these people to arrive with armed police back up that get involved when/if needed. That scenario could actually work but it would require significantly MORE funding, not less.

But whatever, it will result in less reported crime, so supporters will claim it “works”, meanwhile the actual proof will be in lower quality of life, reduced property values, and a lot more private security for businesses.
