Was Oak Tree ever technically an area?

Not that I know of. It was a stopping point for some. A guy I knew pretty well stopped there permanently.

Brignac, Gold Place, Acy, does anybody claim to live in Burnside??

No, the trampoline building hasn't been built yet. It is on Industriplex, behind the bank on the other side of Siegen.

LA Fitness is the huge building going up next to Academy.

Yeah. No. Not even remotely close. It's a TND, but just no.

Agree. Especially with D.R. Horton as the exclusive builder. It's now just a large tract builder development.

Is it a Honda car dealership? Ot there, seems like it might be a Honda motorcycle and 4-Wheeler dealership.

That seems to be truck and used Chevy Impala territory.

Don't know, but Supreme has been parking their inventory on it for several months now.

It's a car dealership. Price LeBlanc, All Star Group, and Team all put in bids but lost out to a minority candidate from Mississippi.

That's technically the Prairieville mail route. It isn't incorporated. In fact it goes all the way to Port Vincent. That would never fly in an attempt to incorporate. Also, the Gonzales and Geismar mail routes covers below that southern border southern line. Duplessis P.O. has no route. Also Duplessis area would consist of the west end of Andy's grocery. I'm not going to talk about Sorrento.

There is a taxing district for the fire dept. It follows the exact lines we drew up years ago for each fire department coverage. It is in no way binding as a technical name.

I'm not trying to be an arse. We just talking. The written word can make it out to sound different than intended.

I was raised in what was called Geismar back in the day. It was generally considered between hwy 30 (which didn't exist at the time) and the river. There was no housing on the 2/3rds on the hwy 30 end. I moved to hwy 74 near Coontrap for a few and then hwy 621 at Tiggy Duplessis for a few more. I've been in Brignac ever since.

The growth has been nothing short of amazing. We tried to prepare for it. We saw it coming but it takes money. That ain't there until businesses are established and revenue is coming in.

Pretty much everyone in Pelican Pointe. Better than claiming Gonzales or Toe-town.

You live in the house that got hit by a pontoon during the tornado?

P.D. lines end near Gold & Guns. Fire dept. lines goes farther out but not to your house. That's 7th District. We are full of lines, parish councilmen, school board members, school lines. None follow the old area names passed down from the old folks.

I haven't been involved in that side of the parish in a long time. I purposefully don't get with the part on the West bank.

I'm picking up what ya putting down. Those lines are confusing as hell. I just slang pizza in the area from
Pville Walmart
to 74@bluff
to Harry savoy
on up to Freds. So I get a kick out of the bazillion towns we deliver in over a 4 hour shift.
our area, omitting azalea lakes and entire length of hoo shoo too.

How do you know this?

I spoke to one of my reps with Team. He said it's been a rumor for the past couple years, hasn't heard anything recently about it.
