124 more people voted for Sheriff than Parish President in the same election?

You don't have to cast a vote for everything

I didn't for Attorney General because I don't know who any of them are.

That is not what happened. Ard knew.

I could see attorney general but the sheriffs race? I’ve heard from several people that said that French Settlements Elementary ( voting took place) doors were locked

Bow down
The polls opened here at 7AM for this election. Past elections we have opened the polls at 6AM. I don’t know the reason for the time change. That may be why people were saying 5he polls were locked.

I completely agree problem is Livingston keeps getting people with grudges and zero qualifications. It’s basically whoever Brandon Browning can get to run.

that might be it. I just seen several people posting on social media. Still a close race, should be an eye opener for Ard

think Livingston deserves credit. Louisiana Sheriffs have so much power and influence it’s really hard to defeat an entrenched one unless there’s a significant shift in demographics, and the sitting sheriff has the wrong party affiliation.

Last election saw several incumbent Sheriffs get beat with about 5% of the shite Ard had in his tenure.

Pointe Coupee
Avoyelles

Washington Parish Sheriff is looking at a runoff and will probably get beat.

Livingston parish deserves what they get with Ard.

The people of LP need a strong leader in law enforcement, not a good guy with an 8th-grade education who makes personal attacks on his opponent out of fear.

LP is a carry over adult high school. Groups that know people for their entire lives will overlook clear short comings or deficiencies because they are blinded by being kicked out of the group.

The Perkins thing was only one thing that should have raised flags. When is the last time a family or hand pick secession not ran the Sheriff’s office?

This. I’m a transplant and I have very close friends that voted for Ard because they’ve known the family for their entire life.

I just can’t wrap my head around it. Dude literally tried to cover up a pedo scandal.
It’s disgusting.

I voted ard cause I thought he was the best of the two. I couldn’t bring myself to vote for someone with 16 months of law enforcement experience. Letting him resign over begging fired. Also couldn’t voted someone to over see a multimillion dollar operation after filing for bankruptcy twice

I’ll over look the one dwi even though that’s also a red flag
